Raised along the Queensland coast, Heather Cuell’s passion is integrating the colors and patterns of nature into her art. She draws on her observations of the affects water has on sand, the unique layers of sedimentary rock and the distinctive characteristics of soil formations around her, as her inspiration. As soon as Heather began working with glass, she became consumed with its creative possibilities. Her interpretation of the texture of the earth’s landforms is transformed through layering glass to create shapes with depth and rich color.
